So to continue our discussion here -
I've `found' on my hard driver mga.o driver which has Macrovision
disabled - then I've implemented vsync IRQ handler for second head.
Then I've watched movie on second head.
And I would say the image has very good quality - then I've even
used aviplay without any IRQ handling and still I've almost not noticed
any problems on my TV - except few 'tearings' and about two 'judder' problems
per 30 minutes - which is much better then Windows anyway... - and I've
been really watching carefully - much more annoying however is
RGB only support - so I've studied MGA doc more and I guess I'll write
my own device with proper YUY2 support for second head
(as Xfree TV dualhead has somewhat limited screen size - so you could
see some black borders around the image)
So Petr are you able to write similar VSYNC device like there is one
for MGA ?
Also MGA goes in 50Hz on my PAL TV - so are you sure about you 25Hz step ?
As for rate - the usage with IRQ device was very very precise - e.g.
for 29.97 it has been doing almost precise telecine transformation 3:2.
