I have patched the patches (http://savannah.nongnu.org/patch/?7486) that patch SVN952 of AVRDUDE to support an FTDI 232H in SPI mode. I had to make some small changes to get it to work but it now supports the 30MHz clock in this family of 'H' suffix parts - not just the older 6MHz clock. I have only tested them in Win32 using the new development versions of libftdi and libusb-1.0 and an ATMega1280.
I'll need to make a tweak or two - but after I make a new patch submission what are the chances of it being included in AVRDUDE 5.11? I think that as there are less and less computers with native serial and parallel ports that boards with these cheap and fast FTDI USB chips (and their ilk) will soon come to the fore. _______________________________________________ avrdude-dev mailing list [email protected] https://lists.nongnu.org/mailman/listinfo/avrdude-dev
