Hi,

I tried merging your patch:

$ git am -s /tmp/1.patch
Patch format detection failed.

Looking more closely at the file, I noticed that it's the output of "git show".
Could you instead send us a file from "git format-patch"?

"git format-patch HEAD^.." should do the trick.
