Recent versions of xorg-server don't NEED xorg.conf. All configuration
can be done using xrandr, and xorg.conf contains only tweaks that fail
to auto-configure - i suppose you already know it, but just to be
sure...

Anyway, you'll have to do the troubleshooting step-by-step.
Can you start from disconnecting DL, then moving or renaming xorg.conf
and checking if X works with LVDS and DVI connected to Intel? You may
post the output of  'xrandr -q' as well.

The do the same with DL connected but again, without any config file.

I want to see how xrandr deals with two graphic cards without any
config tweaking - than we can move further.
