Hi Anders Sorensen,

  Thanks for the reply.
However, what I am looking at is, First I would like to schedule Production
Orders for the FG Items against Primary Demand(which is generated through Sales
Orders and Forecast.)

After having got the Production Shedule, I shall modify and approve. Then, I
shall run MRP only for the approved Production Shcedule. And MRP should plan
for the secondary Items with dependent demand(secondary demand).

Is it possible to map/simulate above requirement in the AX?

  Thanks and Regards.

          Hi,

In Dynamics AX you can run a Master scheduling, which is the MRP part, that
calculates planned purchase and production orders based on the sales orders,
forecast and min. item inventory quantities. The planned production orders can
then be firmed to be real production orders. Then you can use the Production
module to do operation or job scheduling on the real production orders.

Hope this answers your question,
Anders Sørensen

Subject: [Axapta-Knowledge-Village] Is there seperate MPS and MRP Planning

Hi Friends,

In Microsoft Dynanics-AX, is there seperate MPS and MRP running?
What I find is one can run for Forecast scheduling and then Master Scheduling.

Thans in advance.
