Thanks I did look into the Fullscope process solution but this is probably over kill for my customer (who is not in the process industry) But I would like to learn more...does the solution mean all inventory reports show both? Does inventory functions such as checking of issue check both? I guess I am interested to know how far the solution is integrated into std AX. My impression from the document I got was it was not really that 'complete' but I could be wrong as I have not seen or played with the actual process solution Thanks James

But this is totally covered in AX process industries module, its called the Catch weight functionality, it enables you to track the item by two unit of measures on all inventory, sales and purchasing transactions and put variations for of the weight on every item.
