svn co https://svn.sourceforge.net/svnroot/axiom/trunk silver-branch
[snip]
A silver-branch/axiom/lsp/Makefile.pamphlet
Checked out revision 27.
It seems that I've got it without any problem.
Is now someone telling me that I can commit to that branch through
"https"? If yes, under which name will my commit appear?

That repository as far as I can tell contains all of current Axiom
sources. That means that if you execute the command
svn co https://svn.sourceforge.net/svnroot/axiom axiom
then you get the whole thing -- which you rarely want, except when
you're administrator or "core" developer.
Can someone confirm they successfully done a checkout of this archive?
I am trying to do this using the TortoiseSVN add-in for Windows XP
http://tortoisesvn.tigris.org
http://tortoisesvn.sourceforge.net
but after transferring about 30 Mbytes it gives me the following
error message:
Error REPORT request failed on '/svnroot/axiom/!svn/vcc/default'
Error REPORT of '/svnroot/axiom/!svn/vcc/default':
Could not read response body:
Secure connection truncated
(https://svn.sourceforge.net)
Does anyone have an idea what this might mean or where I can go
to findout?
A subsequent 'update' fails apparently at the same point.

Bill Page.
