We don't want to do rpc/encoded in Axis2, JAX-WS does not mandate it,

Ok. I'm not sure how that will play out, but we can certainly give it a shot.

If someone wanted to use both old-style and new-style JEE web serivces in the same app, would there be any classloading conflict? I mean, can Axis 1 and 2 live and operate in the same classloader?

Right, there is a 100% compatibility with J2EE 1.4, so we can't go
dropping features introduced in that set of specs.

I guess the question is, is this something that people want to see in
Axis2 or should we just maintain simultaneous Axis 1 and Axis 2
integrations?
