Cheri; I find it interesting, what you say about the ship's list and Ancestry. I have never had the world subscription and I have always had the ship's list, no "playing" of reps involved. If I were you, I would give them a call and ask, "what gives". I think you may be being short changed here. Just my two cents, Sam J

I'm sure as the technology developed to make faster steamships, they didn't junk all the steamships that took 2 weeks. Also, research into the weather during the time the ship sailed would have to be taken into account. I bet a few storms slowed up even the faster ships. Ancestry (and the microfilm) has had 2 pages - at least for around the 1900s -19teens when I've had to utilize them. I have a very old subscription to Ancestry and the only way for me to get to ships lists now is to upgrade to World, go to the library, or ask someone to do a look up. There has been a big discussion on another list I was on about Ancestry and the different things customer service reps did. If I click on a ships list on Ancestry, I get the offer to buy the World Ancestry. I have no other option. Other people on another list have played the reps - some got what they wanted and some didn't. Very inconsistent. If you somehow got to keep your ships lists via your new subscription, that's really good.
