Hi Elaine, Thank you for your very kind offer. I do not have a subscription to Footnote, but do for Ancestry. On Ancestry, I found the Naturalization index card for my grandfather. In 1906 he was spelling his name as Joseph Vera and the address on the card (correct for that time) is 140 Allen Street, New Bedford, MA. There is so little I know about this man and am hoping the Footnote records may have some clues that I can use to research him and his line prior to 1906. Thanks again.
