Do you have the date that their son, Manuel Edward Nunes, was born? Where?

FYI, at FamilySearch.org, I found the following under: "Massachusetts
Marriages, 1841-1915 for Ermelinda J. CARREIRO"

Name: Manoel NUNAS
Event: Marriage
Date: 24 Sep 1904
Place: Fall River, Massachusetts
Gender: Male
Age: 35
Marital Status: Married
Birthplace: St. Michael's, Az.
Estimated Birth Year: 1869
Father: Manoel
Mother: Francisca Candida
Spouse: Ermelinda J. CARREIRO
Marital status: Married
Father: Jose C.
Mother: Rosa De Jesus

I don't know anything more other than what I've found at
FamilySearch.org. I don't know their dates of births, when and where
they married, when and where they died, etc. I'm not certain how they
are connected to the FURTADOs that are also listed on the baptismal
record.

The photocopy of the baptismal record of their son, Manuel Edward
NUNES, states the following about the birthplace of Manoel NUNES: "S.
Vicente Ferreiro, S. Miguel (Acores)" and for Ermelinda CARREIRO
NUNES: "Arrifes, S. Miguel".

Is it safe to presume that S. Vicente Ferreiro and Arrifes are the
villages they are from even though I've seen them listed as
"parishes"?

Thanks!

I'll see what I can do in locating a copy of the marriage certificate.

Did you get a copy of their Marriage Certificate from Fall River? It

I couldn't find a Sao Vicente Parish. The births for the village of
Arrifes
end before 1881.
I think that the Marriage Certificate is the best place to start.

Thanks, Shirley.

Manoel NUNES and Ermelinda CARREIRO were married in Fall River,
Massachusetts, USA, on September 24, 1904. I have been trying to
track down their families of origins and the villages or frequesias
they came from before they emigrated to America.

Thanks, again.

Do you have an approximate date for the marriage of Manoel NUNES X
Ermelinda
CARREIRO?

Hi, Shirley.

I'm wondering if I could add my question here as well.

I have two people, from Sao Miguel, that I am researching:

Manoel NUNES from Sao Vincente Ferreiro Parish, (born about 1867 to
1869) and his spouse, Ermelinda Carreiro, (born about 1881), in
Arrifes Parish. I've attempted to send an e-mail to both parishes but
never received any response.

Do you think you can assist me?

Thanks!

I have a gazillion people from Sao Miguel island.
Who are you looking for? I might have them in my database.
I need names, dates, where?

Repost for Gail, gelizares at hawaii.rr.com

Any pointers on how to find out where my great grandparents came
from.
On
all the documents so far that I found it just says Azores or Sao
Miguel.
