Sharon,

Do you know much about your Rosa line? I too have Rosa {Rose, Rosa, Roza or
De La Rosa} from the Hollister and Tres Penos areas of San Benito County. I
haven't come across any connection yet on the Pio name. From the research I
have to far, my Da Rosa line comes from Pico.

I do have a relative, by way or marriage, who's involved in local research
of the San Benito County area. I'd be happy to direct you to where you can
find her. She was a wealth of information with my Da Rosa family line.

Subject: [AZORES-Genealogy] PIO/ROSE ancestry

My ggrandmother was Florence PIO, b. Aug 1866 in the Azores & d. Oct.
1929 in Watsonville, CA. I do not know where she was born & would
appreciate any info. Her parents were Joseph b. abt. 1845 & Josephine b.
abt. 1835. I have no further info on them & would appreciate any direction
anyone can give to locate them. I do not believe they came to the USA.
Florence married Jacintho Leal Rosa (or da Rosa or Rose) but I do not have
the date of their marriage. They had 4 children born in Mission San Jose &
the youngest was my grandmother Adeline.
They were divorced sometime betwen 1891 & 1897, but I do no have a specific
date. Any advise would be greatly appreciated.
