Mike, here's the deal on where people were naturalized. Persons eligible for 
naturalization could be attend the ceremony in any Federal court, regardless of 
where they lived. Back in the day, Naturalization was a proud and joyful event. 
However, naturalization ceremonies were not held on a regular schedule in all 
courts, but, rather, when there were enough persons to fill the court for the 
ceremony. As a result, some of our ancestors may have been scheduled to be 
naturalized in courts some distance away from where they lived, for reasons of 
expediency. Sometimes, they were offered the option by the administrators, and 
would be scheduled at the court of their choice. Otherwise, they just had to 
notify the specific court to be scheduled.
