I was told today by my father, this his father told him that he had played on the National Soccer Team. My grandfather was Evaristo Rodrigues Roque Medeiros b 22 Nov 1898. I would guess if he played it would be between 1915-1921. He immigrated to the US in 1921 at 22 years of age from Sao Pedro, Sao Miguel.
How would I go about finding out if there was a league then? If he was on it? He could have been just "talking" himself up I don't know. Any direction for me would be appreciated!!
