Celeste and Mike, Thank you for your replies. I purchased this Windows 7 computer because it has 32 and 64 bit and 32 supports FTM 16. It was working fine before the mishap. Funny, when I use my old laptop with FTM 16 installed there is no such message and the program comes up (I have not updated the info to my old computer since I purchased my new one a year and a half ago and I will do thi stomorrow using my backup drive, just in case I run into this problem again.
We have a couple of things we are going to explore and will try again tomorrow and if all else fails, I will call FTM and Staples is just down the street :-) but we would like to try and figure this out ourselves.....one forgetful senior leading another forgetful senior.
