Umm???  (boarding a 14 y/o on a cargo bark to Long Island, NY, does not 
equate to being "shanghaied)..." More likely, he was getting out of town 
before the authorities drafted him (age 14 was draft age in the Azores).

Looks like you have enough info w/ Sag Harbor, NY, name chg, wife's name, 
and yr of marriage, to start your research. If he lived in Sag Harbor his 
entire adult life, it may be all you need to get that branch started.... 
perhaps he listed his date, and place of birth, possibly even his parents, 
on his marriage application.
