Hi Cheri,

If we are related, it will be interested to see how, as I have so
little information on my end. Here's the info that I do have:

grandfather - Antonio Mello Born Feb 25, 1889, Immigrated April 18, 1901
from Porta Delgada aboard the Dona Maria. Died May 11, 1958 in New
Bedford, MA. His parents are listed on the death certificate as Antonio
Mello and Claudina Silva.
grandmother - Maria Lima - Born Dec 25. 1891. Immigrated August 12, 1907,
though census shows anywhere from 1905 to 1907.. Died January 26, 1960 in
New Bedford, MA. Her parents are listed as John Lima and Francisca
Barboza. The headstone lists her birth as 1890. The 1891 date is from
Antonio's naturalization papers in 1941.

They married sometime around 1910 / 1911 and had 4 children from 1912 -
1926 (Sara, Antone, Agnes and Mary Carmen). I could not find a marriage
certificate when looking at city hall, but I may not have searched far back
enough to find it. .

Thanks for any help you can give!
