Has anyone been able to use the military flights to Lajes Air Field in Terceira? They leave from New Jersey. Were traveling on east coast and called to see if we could get on a flight but have to wait 72 hrs till they get the schedule. Since we're already out this way, we hoped we could. We were already planning to visit the Azores for our 50th anniversary while we can still be "healthy" enough to do it. Not sure if it will pan out.
If we can get there, I'll let you know our experience in case someone else is interested in doing this.
