with Wife Josefa Cabral, 47
Father: Manuel Cabral
Mother: Maria Perpetua
from Porto Formoso
Children: Maria 15, Margarida 12, Manual (sic) 9, Maria 7 (All born Porto
Formoso)
#372 Abergeldie

I put my notes in Bob De Mello's book. I crossed off the dates and wrote
that the Abergeldie left the Azores on Mar. 2, 1883 (per Aaron Pereira's
research) and arrived in Hawaii on May 5, 1883 (per Melody Lassalle's
research) or the 10th (as was posted on Lusaweb).

Who knows that the numbers mean. Start looking on March 2nd going backwards
in the Azorean passaportes for Ponta Delgada:
http://www.culturacores.azores.gov.pt/biblioteca_digital/PASSAPORTES-PDL-1875-1883/PASSAPORTES-PDL-1875-1883_item1/P145.html

You may find it easier to look at the right page for a group from R.G.
(Ribeira Grande) and Porto Formoso (P.F.).

No Anna left the Azores with this family. Could 47 year old Josepha Cabral
given birth? She's getting up there in her child bearing years. Wish you
would have taken a picture of that page with your cell phone camera.

You're going to have to figure out if your guy is Antonio Pacheco Marques
or Francisco Pacheco Marques.

Good luck,
