Cheri and Richard; Thanks for your help. I got the gedcom uploaded and the tree showed up but; I didn’t get a message about privatizing living people. I looked around, went to the privacy button but; still didn’t see where I could privatize the living. Help please…

Redo the file, don't mark anyone private and upload it to FTDNA. Once FTDNA gets it, it will ask if you want the living private or not. A quirk though is if you have your 3-great as born 1830 and no death date. Because there is no death, it is read as the person is still living and your matches will see that person marked as Private too.
