Well, duh! One would think I would have been smart enough to check the various trees I mange by access the trees via the other siblings matches. Color my face red and thanks for the help! This also made me realize I need to go in and mark all ancestors who are obviously dead as such in order for them to show up to my matches when they look at the tree. That’s another point I hadn’t thought of. I’ve got some work to do!

Redo the file, don't mark anyone private and upload it to FTDNA. Once FTDNA gets it, it will ask if you want the living private or not. A quirk though is if you have your 3-great as born 1830 and no death date. Because there is no death, it is read as the person is still living and your matches will see that person marked as Private too.
