I have a second backuppc server that backs up the same clients as the primary server. This way if one backuppc server dies, I still have all the backups on a second machine. (And then everything except for the backuppc stuff from each backuppc server is backed up on the opposite backuppc server.) Additionally, I have the backuppc servers keep 2 weekly full backups and 2 monthly full backups and have found this to be adequate for my needs. It does not take that much more hard drive space for the pool and allows me to go back a little ways in time to look for old files.
