I suggest you examine the setting $Conf{RsyncdUserName}, it sounds
like it's not populated properly. Perhaps it doesn't have proper
single quotes around it ('username'), I know that some of the
variables had the wrong character (`username` is not the same as
'username') in the Debian package.

OK, then perhaps you didn't set the same rsyncd username with the
new backuppc server?
Yes. This is the same. I realy don’t know what is the problem. It’s
like the backuppc server doesn’t send the username to the rsyncd. In
my log file, when I use my old installation I see:
User [EMAIL PROTECTED] but with the new I see user unknown only.
