Hi. I use rsync as my transfer mechanism. I am considering upgrading rsync from 2.6.9 to 3.x, as I am unable to run a full backup with rsync 2.6.9 -- memory utilization's out the roof (lots of files to transfer) and the server slows to an unusable crawl.
rsync 3.x has this fixed.... any reason I can't tear out 2.6.9 and plug in 3.0.3.? has anybody done that?
