If so, can you try removing it and retesting the listing of the data on the shares ? ============ I don't have a samba.conf file, however, I assume you mean smb.conf? In that file the only proxy line I have is; dns proxy = no I changed that to yes, but still same error; backuppc@backuppc:~/pc/win-du57fe7dcg3$ smbclient \\\\win2008server\\C$$ -U Administrator Enter Administrator's password: Domain=[WIN2008SERVER] OS=[Windows Server (R) 2008 Standard 6002 Service Pack 2] Server=[Windows Server (R) 2008 Standard 6.0] tree connect failed: NT_STATUS_BAD_NETWORK_NAME Adding the line you mentioned to the config file also didn't work, neither did any combination of the two (yes/yes, yes/no, no/yes, no/no). Maybe the problem is I am missing the samba.conf folder? Thank you.
