I understand it wasn't your first choice.
Yeah, it's not ideal and I didn't really want to do it that way. Though at the moment I can't get it working backed by NFS or on OpenBSD direct. >> My ideal option was to run backuppc on OpenBSD directly ... > > Which version of BackupPC did you try with OpenBSD, and (exactly) how > did you install it? > >> ... >> If anyone has got backuppc running on OpenBSD directly, any info on how >> to do that would be first prize. > > Although I've never used BackupPC with OpenBSD, so I can't relate any > personal experience, people seem to be writing about it on the Web: > > https://ipv6.rs/tutorial/OpenBSD/BackupPC/ > > That was the third hit in a search on startpage.com (a google front end) > for "backuppc openbsd". > > Have you looked at anything like that? Yeah, I found that hit via search engines. I don't find that website very good. That article is very out of date, apache is not in ports on OpenBSD, perhaps because they have their own webserver. I tried that method, but alas there is no apache in OpenBSD. I guess I could try compile it. There is backuppc directly in OpenBSD ports. It seems to work, but I have no idea how to setup the web front end and without it, I have no idea how to manage backuppc. _______________________________________________ BackupPC-users mailing list BackupPC-users@lists.sourceforge.net List: https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/backuppc-users Wiki: https://github.com/backuppc/backuppc/wiki Project: https://backuppc.github.io/backuppc/
