If you have a fully populated catalog and execute restore using bconsole which will generate a bsr file for you, then restoring using this file with bextract won't be any faster, but limited. If you have a bsr file and your job and file retention clear the catalog then restore with this file and bextract will be faster than a combo of: bscan + bconsole + restore (assuming you will end up with the same bsr file in both cases). best regards -- Radosław Korzeniewski rados...@korzeniewski.net
