I don't disagree with that assessment at all. My latest seeker, a Jehovah's Witness saw that immediately. She did not however retreat in revulsion. She understands the need;
Dear Richard, One of the curriculum designers at the Mag Carney Institute was a Jehovah Witness, and like your friend sees the need for something like this. He too, takes a scholarly approach himself having a Master's degree in biblical studies. It caused me revulsion because when I visited a Kingdom Hall meeting as a teenager and saw that technique being used, I immediately thought to myself, "They don't want people to think." warmest, Susan __________________________________________________ You are subscribed to Baha'i Studies as: mailto:archive@mail-archive.com To unsubscribe, send a blank email to mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] To subscribe, use subscribe bahai-st in the message body to [EMAIL PROTECTED] Baha'i Studies is available through the following: Mail - mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Web - http://list.jccc.edu/read/?forum=bahai-st News - news://list.jccc.edu/bahai-st Public - http://www.escribe.com/religion/bahaist Old Public - http://www.mail-archive.com/bahai-st@list.jccc.net New Public - http://www.mail-archive.com/bahai-st@list.jccc.edu
