Maybe Hess is choking their wells back a little harder initially than the other operators and thus having smaller IP numbers? On the packers and fractures question, read the article on: http://www.canadianbusiness.com/technology/trends/article.jsp?content=20080915_198702_198702&page=1 There are more posts here and articles on the web about separating the 4-9000 feet of horizontal hole into segments and fraccing the rock open to let the oil flow out. It's really why the Bakken has become this big bonanza. On the another well question, most operators once they have drilled the leases that they own(before they expire) are looking at drilling another well in between the existing wells. Haven't seen anything from Hess on that of course, but most likely it will happen eventually. And congratulations on your well!
