mungkin radang selaput otak yang dimaksud diatas itu adalah encephalistis atau
subacute sclerosing panenchephalistis.
Saya sendiri nggak tahu arti radang diatas. mungkin dokter-dokter bisa menjelaskan
pada kita-kita.

Measles is a highly contagious virus that was once virtually universal in children.
Its most prominent symptoms are a high fever and an uncomfortable rash, but about 5
percent of young children infected with measles also develop a serious form of
pneumonia. In older children, measles can cause an infection of the brain called
encephalitis, which results in permanent brain damage in about 25 percent of those who
get it. Measles can also cause a very rare condition called subacute sclerosing
panencephalitis, or SSPE. About seven years after having had measles, a child with
SSPE will develop personality changes, weakness, seizures, and brain damage,
eventually going into a coma and dying. Before the vaccine was introduced in 1963,
between 3 and 4 million cases of measles were reported in the United States each year,
with more than 300 deaths from the disease. These days the United States has about 100
cases a year and no deaths. When measles vaccination rates went down in 1990, there
was an outbreak of 28,000 cases of measles, and 30 children died.
