I've never had a real problem getting a taxi around here. I imagine it's even easier on Phaholyothin as it is a major road. Bangkok is always good for taxis unless you are really far out in the middle of nowhere.
It is about 6 miles from the venue in a taxi. http://maps.google.com/maps/ms?ie=UTF8&hl=en&msa=0&ll=13.890578,100.590305&spn=0.081154,0.073729&t=h&z=14&msid=114929035831765643535.000468344da29b93c06d2 Sorry, forgot to make it clear that we live here already, I can ask but I don't think my girlfriend will be too happy to share a room. I'd wait and see who else is coming over and wants to stay. The rooms are very unlikely to fill up soon, I'm sure you could just rock up in the middle of the night. The place is an airport hotel which has had to partly convert to serviced apartments cos they don't have the custom any more. Also, you do know that you can sleep at the Barcamp venue? Personally I think I'll stay around there in the evening, but I'd prefer a good night's sleep at home. I think C/C must be OK cos they accept cards in the restaurant. I'll ask.
