Andreas: That was the orignal plan, but the community wanted to hold Barcamp anyway, so we made a decision and announced it. That's a done deal. We should not backtrack on our collective commitment. Even though we suggested that people from overseas should not attend, some people have already bought plane tickets.
Holding a barcamp in another city is not an option; 98% of the people will not travel that far for Barcamp. The location is not dangerous.
