As much as I would like to have Barcamp now and hope that the violence and
danger is resolved very soon (cause the alternative is very painful to
consider), it is irresponsible to assume this will happen. We must announce
the cancellation right away so people considering buying plane tickets or
making other travel arrangements will refrain. Due to the travel restriction
and warning announcements I would expect that most airlines would offer
refunds or credits for any flights inbound to Bangkok this week.

I for one don't want to be responsible for encouraging anyone to come to
Bangkok at this time. Therefore I am formally withdrawing my support for
this event, encourage my friends to do the same, and will not participate in
it. Not what I want but that's where it stands nonetheless.
