Btool doesn't use control messages actually.  It starts with the USB
bulk transfer stuff immediately.  If newer devices need that info,
I'll have to add it.

There is no hidden USB traffic in btool, when using the -v option.
(If there is, it's a bug, and I'll fix it.)

The only vendor-specific control messages used in Barry are in the bcharge
tool.  They are "documented" in the charge() and pearl_mode() functions
near the top of the code.

Brian Edginton did a lot of work on the database stuff a few months ago.
I suspect any differences are minor, if any, but I haven't done a close
compare recently.
