Woo hoo! Got it working. Might have been overkill, but what I did to
get things working within my CentOS 6.3 system was:
yum install perl-devel python-lxml
yum groupinstall 'development tools'
and then on line 280 on
https://github.com/fluxlabs/scripting/blob/master/baruwa/cent6/install_baruwa2.sh:
Changed 'template1' to 'template0'
Hope that helps others.

The building from source is because a lot of the programs are not
available in repo's. The main builds are MS perl src RPMs or other
perl mods that are not available via rpm.
I also have an installer for Ubuntu. I have not had time to finish
testing it completely.

Jeremy,
You replied so fast last night that i overlooked your email. =P
So one issue I just found is with the baruwa database creation. Here
is the error:
##############
createdb: database creation failed: ERROR: new encoding (UTF8) is
incompatible with the encoding of the template database (SQL_ASCII)
HINT: Use the same encoding as in the template database, or use
template0 as template.
##############
I wonder what are different in our environments that is causing two
different reactions (yours working and mine not) when it comes to this
db creation. Changing the template to 'template0' as it recommends,
does seem to work, but I am not 100% sure if thats the right way to
resolve the issue.
Also, one of the dependencies that was causing other problems was
that I was missing was perl-devel.
Lastly, is CentOS really the right environment for Baruawa or would
something like Ubuntu be better? There seems to be a decent about of
building from source going on and thats highly discouraged in the
CentOS world. Not complaining, just curious.
Hmm, just noticed that yum installed postfix during the exim
install. LOL, whats up with that?
Thanks for your time and releasing this to the community,
Mark
