Phone number format

I want to enter phone numbers in bbdb in this format:

805 432 6789

But apparently, like `Ford', bbdb `Has a better idea' and rearranges
phone numbers like this:

(805) 432-6789

Its aggravating to have software that overrules its user.  How can I
tell bbdb to piss-off and leave the phone numbers alone.

M-x bbdb-piss-off <RET>
