Please reread the previous discussion on this. If you have
bbdb-completion-type set to nil, it completes across all fields, and
does not have a notion of a primary email address. Instead, if I
recall correctly, it creates a hash of addresses and picks the first
one off it. I think someone made a patch at some point to always force
it to pick the primary net address, but this isn't always what you
want either. The only way at present to make it select a particular
address is either use a completion-type of primary-or-name, or to be
more specific about the email address before using completion.
