I work with several sites buried inside my home directory,
and when I start adding Anchor and Image links, I have to navigate
to the appropriate directory, which is normally within one directory
of the file I'm editing. Please add something like a 'Jump to Here'
button to BBEdit's Anchor & Image tools' Open dialogs, to get to the
right neighborhood.
Doesn't anyone else want this feature? Or do you all start by
opening files in the Finder, and/or 'prime' the Open dialogs in some
other way?
There are a couple ways you might try to fix this yourself.
One is to create a folder in your home folder with aliases to desired
directories. That way you can just command-H, double click, double
click and you're there regardless of the location of the folder.
Another is to create a file group with the folders in it. Then
double clicking will bring up the disk browser and you can just drag
the image in to link to it. I have a file group of frequently
accessed files and folders and then a hot key in Keyboard Maestro to
open it.
Enjoy,
Peter.
