Google's POLICY is to NOT send the original poster a copy of their own message if they post with a Gmail address. There is NOT a way to change that setting. It's infuriating and wrong, but then Google Groups has never been a very good group-mail system. You'd think that 100 million people would hit up tech support, because they didn't see their original post and that Google would change their ways... Nope.
