I forgot about the patches mentioned earlier in this thread. Get those or upgrade to 2.6.22-rcX (X=3 at the moment), that will almost certainly solve your woes. To get the firmware from your vendor's driver you need the SVN version of fwcutter. However, I would recommend, if you're using Debian, allowing debconf to fetch it for you or googling for wl_apsta.o and using that firmware. There's only two big versions out there: version 3 and version 4. Unless you are using a kernel built from wireless-dev (hint: if you don't know then you're not) and/or using the mac80211 driver, then you almost certainly want version 3, which is available from the wl_apsta.o object code file. I don't know what the bcmwl6.sys Vista driver has in the way of firmware, if I were you I'd treat that as an unknown quantity and stay away from it. - -- Andrew J.
