You should upgrade your system with "yum upgrade".  The current Fedora 7
kernel is 2.6.23.1 with b43 and b43legacy drivers, which work much
better.

You'll need b43-fwcutter to prepare firmware for the updated drivers.
It creates firmware files in subdirectories and avoids conflict between
v23 and v4 firmware.

Just in case, today may not be the best day to upgrade Fedora, and
Fedora 8 was released, and the pipes are likely saturated.  Try
upgrading just the kernel: "yum upgrade kernel"

On the other hand, Fedora updates are so massive, that you may prefer to
join the torrent and download Fedora 8.
