Jane,

I have had it with your BD piety. If you had half of
the wisdom you you think you have, you would see that
not everybody involved in social change is running
around as an acitvist waving signs and telling people
they should use preps and become enlightened. Change
happens on may levels, and some are less plainly
obvious because they deal with change from the inside.

My anger now done with, let me give an example. Last
night I watched a documentary on Bayard Rustin, they
guy who organized the original great Civil Rights
march in D.C. Bayard was originally an activist, a
shouter. At a certain point when his influence grew,
he made a move into polictics. He went inside the
beast to do work there. This demanded a great change
in technique and temprament. This move drew criticism
from the Malcolm X and Black Panther types who were
still shouting from the outside while Bayard had moved
inside to work. In the end it was Bayard who had the
most impact on the world.

I am not a cowering lurker. I HAVE BEEN out on the
front lines. I DID RUN BD market gardens for two
years and sent my life that way. I gave a seminar on
Chromatography and Capillary Dynamolysis at Allan's
conference. However, Divine Providence had a
different course in mind for me. That is very clear
to me now. There are good reasons for the path I have
chosen and you should be damn glad that I am
psoitioning myself where I am. My long-time BD friend
Allan Balliet still doesn't quite understand my path,
but he respects my choices and trusts me on them.

All I wish for is moving archives out of the way of a
quick google search. If people want to look further,
they will always find. That is fine. If they are that
determined, that is the way of it. If they are not,
there is no reason to hand them things they don't
need.

Very sincerely,
Christopher W. Shade
