Go grab ActiveState's Perl port for windows at http://www.activestate.com/Products/Download/Download.plex?id=ActivePerl if you haven't done so already. You'll want the MSI package. Once you've got it on your HD, open the installation directory in the Explorer, find the HTML folder and double click on index.html. Bookmark this page; it's your complete Perl documentation. Search in the right pane for perlfaq2 and click it. There's a list of recommended books on that page.
