I had discussed about this issue sometime back with Moinak and I remember him saying that this has to do with the ON build and not Belenix. Apparently some of the ON builds have had problems with VMware (probably with other virtualization softwares as well). The latest Belenix release is based on Build60 while SXCR is based on much more recent ones.
