No, this is just not right, it has nothing to do with recent kernels: After that fact that I didn't get an answer on my thread "Cannot boot Belenix because of wrong grub entries" (the one before this thread) I again installed Sidux, the dev branch Debian. So now I give you pictures of Qemu running on Sidux and in Qemu you see Solaris 6/06 (I got this box at the Linux Conference last year November) booting without trouble - even without the "atapi-cd-dma-enabled=0" boot option -. http://www.flickr.com/photo_zoom.gne?id=774135819&size=o http://www.flickr.com/photo_zoom.gne?id=774135803&size=o http://www.flickr.com/photo_zoom.gne?id=774135795&size=o Now, please, don't tell me that the reason Belenix doesn't boot is of a not recent kernel. Quite the opposite : Older Solaris Versions are rightly booting without problems. In newer versions I have to submit the "atapi-cd-dma-enabled=0" option for example. > > > > This is not off-topic. > > Belenix is for the big community out there to look into Solaris land. > > They should have the possibility to run Belenix under Qemu. I am trying hard to become a good member of the OpSol community. regards Gueven
