I guys,

I've just upgraded my system from Alpha to Beta by downloading the
install_belenix script again (dug for it in my mail archives) and
executing ./install_belenix -destroy

Upon first boot the system didn't come up at all giving a warning
messages that it was going to enable 'quirks' mode for the series 4
Intel chipset then had a second warning with a code like FYYB or so I
don't recall as such!

I ended up powering the system off via power button then restarting
again and second time round it did boot but still has an error again
with codes which I don't recall again will take down but was hoping I
could find them in a log file somewhere including the first error or
warning message......

I am guessing that these come up pre-kernel boot as they appear directly
after the SunOS 5.11 prompt directly after startup.

Another thing is that I tried to email using Thunderbird and it seems
that there's a bug with one of the libs...... as soon as I get to the
Belenix folder of my imap server on my netscape account Thunderbird will
just panic and close.

Also in default KDE desktop there don't seem to be any icons; I am
guessing it's a simple case of spkg install oxygen-icons or so but just
wanted to check first.

Gnome2 desktop doesn't seem to be working correctly either as after
downloading it and choosing it from KDM I got the desktop background and
a cursor which moved around but that was it. Later on a little window
popped up with the IP address of my NIC which I am guessing is Avahi.
But no panels right clicking didn't work to bring up menus to create
panels as I have seen SXCE having a similar issue of no panels upon install.

That's all I have managed to achieve for now: major apologies for not
finding out the codes properly currently it's nearly 5:30am and my mind
has stopped working. I will get at least the current codes and
Thunderbird library later on but was hoping there might be log files for
the initial boot?? - although that might not matter!

Anyway best regards and will get back with some more data soon after
some sleep :-)

Kaya
