Ok just to follow up on last night's shenanigans (I even managed to spell Hi wrong :-( )
Anyhow, this is the complete list of errors taken directly from tty output: Upon first boot of Belenix 0.8 Beta as explained below I thought I had an untrackable error which caused the system to not boot... switching over from OpenSolaris (current stable: SunOS Hp-Compaq-2230s 5.11 snv_111b i86pc i386 i86pc Solaris) to Belenix resulted in the same error showing up again! The error is like so: Mobile 4 chipset present, activating quirks Setting RWBF forcefully Upon a hard power down holding the power button until the system shutoff and re-powering lead to the system being bootable but giving a set of different errors which in turn made the actual OS itself feel quite slow and sluggish: Invalid Bios RMRR: Disabling Intel IOMMU The Mozilla Thunderbird error is like so: ld.so.1: thunderbird-bin: fatal: libltdl.so.3: open failed: no such file or directory ld.so.1: relocation error: file /usr/lib/libcanberra.so.0: Symbol lt_dlinit: referenced symbol not found Everything else so far I have explained hopefully with enough adequacy below despite being heavily fatigued; which is mainly missing components: icons, panels, menu's etc.....
