Make sure that UPnP is turned off on at least one side (MIP or SC). In SC it is in the Server/Advanced/Network page. I was told a while back that they didn't play well together over upnp.
I also removed the music folder setting (just left it blank) from my SC installation - it only knows about music that MusicIP has (via the import).
