There have been numerous announcements about the recent changes, including the fact that trunk will go unstable. Choosing a title like "today's build a real mess" to describe the status of a branch that has already been announced as "unstable" suggests that you don't get it. Besides, I don't detect any hint of sarcasm in kdf's reply - just a re-statement of the current unstable nature of trunk and some sensible advice on how to recover.
