Well, in the interest of trying to make some progress I pulled out my old Netgear router and plugged both my PC and the Receiver into that. I reset the router so that it was running dead stock - 192.168.0.1 and everything else. No security features enabled, set the subnet mask to 255.255.0.0 and...
still nothing. Short of getting a crossover cable (which I have plenty of at work but not here!) this is about as simple as I can make it. One thing I noticed. The activity light on the Receiver's Ethernet jack did not stay flashing after the initial hookup to the router. It flashed at the start like you'd expect, but after that went silent. I seem to recall that the activity light on TCP/IP driven Ethernet connection should always have *some* activity, no? -- tonyptony ------------------------------------------------------------------------ tonyptony's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=3397 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=43722 _______________________________________________ beta mailing list beta@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/beta
